About the story

Inspired by the poem Virgin Island Child by Larry Sewer, I Am was born from a desire to celebrate culture, belonging, and the power of words.

Set across the vibrant islands of the U.S. Virgin Islands, the story follows a group of children as they journey through St. Croix, St. Thomas, St. John, and Water Island—discovering beauty, history, and hidden treasures along the way.

At its heart, I Am reminds every child that they are valuable, seen, and deeply connected to something greater than themselves.
